An Announcement & A Farewell

We've been up to big things around here for the past few months! Hence the lack of blog posts. 2015 was a BIG year for us and we are thinking 2016 is going to be even BIGGER. In 2015 we became a family of four, welcoming our precious son Cason.

The first few months of Cason's life were a absolute rollercoaster. Times were either great or not. There was really no in-between. Cason was diagnosed with reflux, a milk protein allergy and colic. Breastfeeding was hard, bottle feeding was hard and weight gain was poor it was a trying time but we finally got our son on the right meds and formula after many many doctor appointments. My father had some heart problems in the midst of this as well. Those few months were very trying on us but I wouldn't have it any other way as a lot was revealed to us about the people in our life. And thanks to that we've been able to enjoy our lives more. We've enjoyed living by a new motto: Invest in those, who invest in you. Living by this has been extremely fulfilling for our family's needs. It's amazing what God reveals to you during those dark times. Jimmy decided to go back to school to finish his Bachelors Degree but also changed his major to something he's passionate about. Addelyn turned two! I started a event styling & planning company! I still can't believe it! Jimmy got promoted and for the past four months we've been looking at homes and we are officially moving into a home that best suits our needs. Moving to Hutto was a tough call for us but all in all was a great short term investment and has enabled us to get into a beautiful home we can grow into and back into an area that we love! 2015 went by so quick and we hope to settle into these BIG changes in 2016 and get into a new rhythm.
Let me tell you more about the company I recently launched! Elodie Events is an event styling company that began to come to life back in July. I really do have to thank Debbie and Coy for really pushing me to believe that all these parties I have done are just the beginning of something great. I want to give a big shout out to Josh for giving me the guidance on how to really get started, thank you so much! My dream is to provide a memorable experience for the celebrations and special occasions of others. Life is too short to not embrace it every step of the way. A party is a really great way to capture and celebrate what is currently going on and so fun to look back on. Elodie Event's has taken off faster than I ever anticipated and with that being said I brought on a Co-Owner in December and we are ecstatic to hit some big goals for 2016.

If your new here my passion for all things parties transpired when planning my daughter's first birthday party. I've always had an eye for design and enthusiasm for details. When I'm not planning a party or taking care of my littles I'm most likely diving into a new project, organizing, DIYing, decorating or crafting.

With all these amazing things God has blessed us with unfortunately I just cannot keep up with this little blog. So to continue to follow along our journey you can now find us here. I will be blogging from there from now on. I hope that one day this blog will continue but looking back on 2015 and whats ahead for 2016 it doesn't seem do-able.

If you've stumbled across my blog from Pinterest or Project Nursery and love the designs you've seen there, check out our website here

The last two years have been so amazing and I regret that I wasn't able to document it all here, as I was hoping to do so for my kiddos and I to look back on thankfully I've gotten a lot on camera. I hope to be able to continue to post videos like this for family in the future. Thanks so much for all your love and following our journey here. These two years have gone by so fast it just brings me to tears. My little loves have grown up so fast.

Ember's Shabby Chic Baby Shower

I'm so excited to share this sweet aqua and lavender baby shower I recently coordinated. My girlfriend who hosted the shower came up with the sweetest vision and it was so much fun bringing it all to life! This is by far my favorite table I've put together yet. Her house is absolutely gorgeous and complimented the theme perfectly. Im still swooning over all of the touches of burlap, lace and pearls.
This diaper cake was so much fun to make, loving the way it turned out!

Can we talk about these flowers! OMG!

Thanks for stopping by!
If you're hosting a party in the Austin area and in need of any help, send me an email. I'd love to hear from you!
